Course Overview

The Train the Trainer Experiential Forklift Operations (T3FSO) course is specifically designed for existing WSH forklift trainers to deepen their expertise and familiarize themselves with the advanced features of forklift simulators.

This course provides a comprehensive exploration of forklift operations through a series of meticulously crafted simulator modules, enhancing the training capabilities of seasoned WSH instructors.

Participants will start by gaining a thorough understanding of the simulator controls and interface, ensuring proficiency with the technology.

Course Content

The Train the Trainer Experiential Forklift Operations (T3FSO) incorporates experiential learning principles, allowing trainers to engage in interactive, hands-on practice that reinforces their understanding of simulator operations.
Participants will advance through a series of progressively complex tasks, including navigating a figure of “8” pattern to improve precision and spatial awareness and mastering ascending and descending ramps with and without loads, focusing on maintaining control and stability on inclines.
Further modules cover practical aspects of forklift operations, such as loading and unloading racks, moving pallets between containers and staging areas, and loading and unloading trucks.
These exercises are designed to enhance trainers’ ability to demonstrate and teach efficient and safe operational techniques effectively.

Requirements to be a trainer and assessor for this course

Domain qualification: The trainer/assessor must be a domain subject matter expert, possess a WSQ-Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH Professional Level B)
Domain work experience: The trainer/assessor must possess a minimum of five years’ relevant experience in subject matter.
WSQ trainer/assessor pedagogic requirement: The trainer/assessor must have attained a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (ACTA) or Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Diploma in Adult Continuing Education (DACE) or Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP).
WSQ trainer/assessor experience: The trainer/assessor should preferably possess a minimum of one year of training experience.
All adult educators are required to attain 10 hours (minimum) annually by attending Continuing Professional and Development (CPD) courses conducted by appointed training providers.

The trainer for the course is not permitted to be the assessor for the same course learners during the assessment.
